Summer Day Camp on Pickerel Lake

Each summer the YMCA offers a summer day camp at Camp Petosega, in partnership with Emmet County Parks and Recreation.  This season over 320 campers ages 6-14 learned new games, created amazing projects, and made new friends all on the shores of Pickerel Lake.  Corey Dixton, Day Camp Director, along with a great staff of talented counselors including Carly Babrick, Kia Gouza, Kelsey Pemberton, and Jared Reno, made the summer an unforgettable experience for many campers.  This summer over 100 kids were awarded a campership -- a camp scholarship made possible by numerous grants and community gifts.
