Pathfinders

Pathfinders is an adventure program especially for middle school students. It will be educational, challenging, exciting, reinforce character values, introduce new skills, and provide outdoor fun! Campers will develop the skills needed for new and healthy life long activities while under the supervision and guidance of YMCA staff.

Campers will...

Gain safety and equipment knowledge
Develop an appreciation for healthy activities
Experience a positive interaction with friends

Who

Boys and girls
Grades 6th-8th (in September)

Where

Camp will begin and end at the YMCA
Transportation to activity locations will be provided

When

Tuesday-Thursday 9:00am-3:00pm
The Y-Center is open until 5:30pm as an option for extended care. Y-Center fee is $1.50/day for Members or $3.00/day for Non-Members

Basketball ... a great camp to improve your ball handling and shooting skills, and work on strength training.

Martial Arts... learn the basic fighting skills of the Asian Masters. You will learn to balance mind, heart, and body in real peace.

Canoeing ...learn how to paddle and steer your canoe, while taking day trips down area rivers.

Triathlon ...hike, peddle and float your way around Northern Michigan. Each day will have an exciting and different activity. Hiking, biking and river tubing will all be part of this camp!
