Martial Arts

Martial Arts of the 21st century builds both physical and mental strength. Students learn discipline, confidence in themselves, respect for others, and teamwork. Even if the defense skills the students learn are never needed, there are great benefits to martial arts training. Strength, flexibility, coordination and cardiovascular health are just the beginning. The fun and camaraderie of the classes, as well as the self-satisfaction of accomplishment are added benefits. YMCA Karate instructors strive to fulfill all these goals in their classes.
