Introducing junior lacrosse
The YMCA is proud to introduce boys and girls in grades 3-4 to the fast-growing sport of lacrosse. Its deep and noble roots go back thousands of years among Native Americans.
At the suggestion of local instructors, we're offering two options. One is an affordable introduction to the sport, meeting Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00 for six weeks, starting April 17. It would be focused on the fundamentals of catching and throwing, and would include a lacrosse stick and T-shirt for $65. The second option involves actual competition, and would meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 for six weeks, starting April 17. It would include a lacrosse stick, pads, helmet, and a T-shirt for $225.
Please let us know which option works for you. Participants will also take a Saturday morning field trip to see high school players in action.
