Planning the future for YMCA of Northern Michigan
We are working to develop a full-service YMCA for Emmet and Charlevoix Counties. More than just a facility, it will be a community for all ages, interests, incomes, and denominations. It will encourage even non-athletes to get active and develop in body, mind, and spirit.
Imagine a community center that anyone can afford, in a visible, accessible location. Imagine satellite programs in Boyne City, Charlevoix, Harbor Springs, Pellston. Imagine a healthier population, less divided by class. We believe that if our small towns all work together, we can develop wonderful shared resources.
A true community center can come about only through partnerships with civic, business, educational, and nonprofit leaders.
